Small Training Grants
The Texas CJA program is awarding grants of up to $4,000 to support multidisciplinary training events which address one or more of the following training priorities:
- Improve the recognition and response of mandated reporters to suspected incidents of child abuse and neglect.
- Improve the investigation and prosecution of cases of child sexual exploitation and trafficking.
- Improve the handling of child abuse and neglect cases involving children with disabilities or serious health-related concerns.
- Improve the handling of child abuse and neglect cases involving family substance abuse and/or mental or behavioral health issues.
- Improve the handling of cases involving children in the Permanent Managing Conservatorship of the state.
- Promote and enhance family-focused, culturally-competent practice.
